Research first, testing only when it actually occurred
Measured Habitat labels the evidence used for each material claim. The first public pilot uses public-source research only.
Research-based work
Research-based articles may use current regulator, government, standards-owner, manual, registry, utility, academic, or other appropriately scoped sources. Each claim is limited to what its source actually establishes. A source list at the end of an article does not replace claim-level citations.
Modeling
A calculator or modeled result is not a measurement. It requires a versioned method, units, sourced inputs, assumptions, validation cases, boundary behavior, sensitivity, and uncertainty. No model is used in the first article.
Hands-on work
The words “review,” “tested,” “measured,” or “in our experience” require real access and retained evidence. A future hands-on article must identify the sample, acquisition or access relationship, protocol, conditions, instruments, raw evidence, anomalies, and limitations. No hands-on claim applies to the first public pilot.
Safety and unknowns
High-consequence questions are bounded, escalated, or removed. Unknown, not verified, not applicable, stale, and blocked pending review are different states and should not be collapsed into a favorable assumption.
