Editorial Policy

Purpose

Measured Habitat publishes decision support, not sales copy. The publication aims to help readers understand what is known, what is attributed, what remains uncertain, and what would change the decision.

Sources and claims

Material claims should use the most specific authoritative source available for the exact scope. Manufacturer documentation may support a manufacturer’s own specification or instruction, but it is not independent proof of performance or superiority. Conflicting or stale evidence is retained when it affects the conclusion.

Evidence modes

  • Research-based: current public sources with visible limitations.
  • Modeled: a versioned method, sourced inputs, validation cases, sensitivity, and uncertainty.
  • Hands-on tested: an exact sample, access disclosure, protocol, conditions, instruments, raw evidence, anomalies, and limits.
  • Mixed: different claims are supported at different declared modes.

The first public article is research-based. No hands-on testing or product access applies.

Safety and professional boundaries

The publication does not provide instructions for fixed wiring, backfeeding, transfer switches, battery repair, hazardous modification, structural mounting, medical-device compatibility, or legal interpretation unless a later article has the exact approved evidence and review route. General guidance cannot establish what a lease, building, product manual, local authority, or medical-device plan permits.

Commercial independence

No affiliate links, sponsorships, supplied products, or paid relationships are active in the first pilot. A future commercial relationship must be disclosed before the first affected link or recommendation and must not control inclusion, scoring, criticism, or conclusions.

AI assistance

AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting, consistency checks, or code. They do not create evidence or approval. Material claims must remain traceable to retained sources, and the accountable site operator approves publication scope.

Corrections and updates

Material factual or safety errors are corrected rather than hidden. Meaningful updates receive a visible change note when the prior public conclusion materially changed. Changing only a date is not an update.
